The City's activities are funded largely by an annual property tax levy. The property taxes are levied on the real property values of each home as supplied by the Jefferson County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA). St. Regis Park property tax bills are mailed out in July. The payments are due October 31st. Penalties and interest applies to late payments of the bill. Please check the property tax bill you receive for any penalties which may apply. Bills are not sent to mortgage companies by the City. It is the property owners responsibility to do this. Tax bills that remain unpaid on November 1 are delinquent. Liens are filed for tax bills that remain unpaid on January 1. The tax bill is generally paid out of an escrow account . Please check with your mortgage company if you have any question about a property tax escrow arrangement. Homestead or Disability exemptions are allowed residents of retirement age and those who are handicapped. If you believe you qualify for Homestead Exemption or Disability Exemption, please contact the Jefferson County Property Valuation Administration for details.

MULTIPLE PAYMENT OF TAXES
If the City receives more than one payment of City taxes, the extra payment is remitted to the property owner – not the mortgage company. The City makes all multiple payment refunds after the payment deadline of October 31.
