Recent Break-ins

This is a narrative from a burglary report in the 2800 Block of Browns lane from last Friday afternoon. Please read to learn from the experience.

{Witness one (neighbor) reports that suspect who was clearly identified as suspect by his tattoo on neck (13 1/2) and physical description knocked on his door asking if he needed his gutters cleaned. Witness one states he did not and suspect then asked if the neighbors were home. Witness reported to the suspect that because there cars were not home they were not. Between the times and date listed and according to the witness around 1545 - 1600 hours the suspect forced a window pain in the door and then opened the door. The suspect then unlawfully removed items and fled from the location on foot. Witness one advised the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Witness two, another neighbor report they observed suspect one around 1545 - 1600 hours who asked them also about gutters. Witness two was shocked suspect one would be asking about that as there gutters are covered. Witness two described suspect one as 5`9 140-150. Once witness two advised she did not need anything suspect walked away.}

Approximately $5000 dollars of Jewelry was taken.

Lessons to be learned.

A. If some guy (teen) in plain clothes ask to clean your gutters most likely he is a burglar just checking to see if you are home.

B. Don't do your neighbor in favors by telling the same shady guy their not home.

C. If someone ask to clean your cutters that you spent thousands to get covered, call police he is probably a crook.

The attached wanted flyer is the guy whom committed this crime and probably ones on St. Regis, Stanton, and Westfield. In each case money or Jewelry was taken.

Beat 5 this is your burglar help us find him.

    Hi Bill,
    How are we supposed to handle solictors in the city? I’ve noticed an increase in the past few months, with two this week, AirTIte and the carpet shampoo pair. I point out that this is a No Soliciting city and they smile and move on to the next house. Who should I call when these people come door to door?
