At the June Council Meeting, Stephen Hoard of Mt. Vernon Road was appointed to fill the unexpired term of former Councilman, Bob Aldridge. Stephen is a Construction Project Executive. His expertise and experience make him a perfect fit to oversee building permits for the City.
CITY COUNCIL VACANCY
A vacancy now exists on the St. Regis Park City Council. St. Regis Park Ordinance No. 4, Series 2012-2013 “Regarding Vacancies on the City Council” states in part that any vacant position must be advertised.
A candidate for City Council must be a resident of the City (does not have to be a property owner) for not less than one year prior to his/her appointment, must be at least 21 years of age, must be a qualified voter in the City, and must reside in the City throughout his/her term of office. Candidates must submit their resumes by either e-mail to cityofstregispark@mcmahanfire.com or by first class mail to the following address:

The City Clerk must receive all resumes no later than Friday, June 28, 2013. The Council shall review the resumes to insure all requirements are met. Interviews will then be conducted on the date of the next regular City Council Meeting, July 2, 2013. After interviewing all qualified candidates, the City Council will make a recommendation to fill the vacancy. The position will be filled by a majority vote of Council Members.

Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 23. It will take place from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Bullitt property located at the end of Lincoln Road. This is a wonderful event for the entire family. There will be lots of prizes, eggs, and of course, the Easter Bunny. The McMahan Fire Department will even be there to give rides on their fire truck.
